Basmathi rice 2 cups
Fish fillets 500 gm
Onion chopped 1/2 cup
Ginger garlic paste 1 tblspn
Green chilly 2
Lemon juice 2 tblspn
Cooking oil 2 tblspn,salt to taste,curry leaf,mint and cilantro as required
Turmeric and fenugreek powder 1/3 tspn
Chilly,coriander and pepper powder 1/2 tspn each
For garam masala cinnamon stick 1 inch,clove 4,star anise 1,cardamom 2,mace a pinch
Cook rice in 4 cups of water.Marinate fish with salt,turmeric and lemon juice.Keep for 1 hr.
Just steam it.
Heat oil in a shallow pan.Add garam masala.When aroma comes out add onion saute till transparent.Add ginger garlic paste,saute,add chilly ,coriander powder and enough salt,
Mix well.Add steamed fish,stir cook well.Add half mint and cilantro.Finally add rice
simmer,mix well.Care should be taken not to break the cooked rice.Remove to serving
bowl garnish with balance mint and cilantro.Serve with raitha and pickle.
